1.0 This policy shall be:

●  Commenced from the academic session from January 2021

●  Related to Internship & placement of students.

●  Amended / revised from time to time in accordance with the aims, objects, planning, economy, necessities of jobs, market situation etc. as and when deem fit. Anything or matter, not covered in the policy, shall be decided by the designated authority of Digital Gurukul and would be binding on all the concerned.

2.0 Definitions:

● Commenced from the academic session of 2021-22 onwards. Internship & Placement Offer extended by the recruiter to the student on temporary, contractual, ad hoc, probationary etc. basis on the completion of the final interview or any other process undertaken by the recruiter.

3.0 Training & Placement Department :

T&P department, established by Digital Gurukul, headed by a designated authority shall deal with all the activities related to Internship & placement as per rules of this policy which may include;

●  Consultancy, guide and advice to the students.

●  Planning, organization of placement programs / drives / fares / camps / interviews.

●  Communication, co-ordination, information and directions.

●  Provisions of appropriate preparation for placement before, during and after the placement – Training for personality development, aptitude tests, interview techniques, GD, PI etc.

●  Registration of students and reply to their queries.

●  Provisions of profiles of recruiters / placement companies etc.

●  Establish liaison and contacts with the recruiters / placement companies, provisions of their profiles, jobs, terms and conditions, location etc.

●  Display lists, notification, programs of placement with information for Internship & placement companies and students.

●  Provisions and distribution of brochures.

●  Provisions of required infrastructure facilities for the recruiters / placement companies and students regarding placement.

●  Reasonable facilities for physically disable students shall be provided.

4.0 Eligibility for Internship & Placement:

The following students shall have the rights for their placement under this policy:

●  Students of final pursuing Diploma & AltMBA Programs at Digital Gurukul (studying / outgoing / prior to pass out).

●  Regular, sincere, punctual at their institute (Online & Offline)

●  Students fulfilling required obligations of placement agencies.

●  Minimum 80% attendance in academics and any other professional enhancement program such as Guest Lectures, Pre-placement Lectures, Professional Trainings, Soft Skills Training, GD/PI etc. which are carried out in the campus or Online.

●  Minimum 75% marks in the final examination carried out by Digital Gurukul.

●  No due(s) to the institute/ university.

5.0 Conditions of Internship & placement:

Following conditions shall be applicable to the concerned student for his Internship & placement:

●  A student can avail maximum of 2 offers.

●  In case a student, already having a Internship or job offer, opts to appear for a second Internship/placement drive gets second offer, the first offer will automatically be considered as cancelled / surrendered / withdrawn.

●  Each student will be given a maximum of 2 attempts in campus/ off campus Internship/placement drives and if he/she is not able to get selected in the statutory 2 offers (offered by the campus as per the placement policy), further he/she would be debarred from the Internship/ placement process.

●  Student may get placed at any location with any company or sector.

●  It shall be the responsibility of the student to fulfill all the obligations required for Internship/job as mentioned by the recruiter.

●  Student shall maintain confidentiality.

●  While Training & Placement cell strive to secure work-from-home positions for our students, Digital Gurukul does not guarantee such Internship/placements. The availability of work-from-home opportunities depends on various external factors beyond our control.

●  Digital Gurukul’s role is limited to facilitating connections between students and potential employers. We are not responsible for the final decision made by employers regarding hiring or the terms and conditions of employment.

●  If the student does not give his/her acceptance in stipulated time as mentioned by the company it would be considered as one offer availed.

●  Students shall have to abide with the norms of Recruiter such as job profile, salary, bond, increment, probation etc.

●  Offer for Internship/ job by the recruiter to the student shall be treated as final and the student shall have no right for any negotiations, thereafter. otherwise student will be debarred from the internship/placement process

●  Criteria for eligibility determined by any recruiter/company, if any, shall be applicable to the students.

6.0 Conditions for participation in placement programs:

Students fulfilling the followings may participate in Internship/placement program:

●  Students must be in the prescribed dress code – Students coming in Jeans, T-Shirts, Jackets, Slippers, Trainers (Sports Shoes/wear) on Internship or Placement drive will not be allowed to attend the Internship/placement activity and will be considered as one chance availed out of statutory 2. The student should strictly maintain their college dress code.

●  Registration with T&P.

●  Punctuality, In time reporting and presence at scheduled time, venue and seat for recruitment process.

●  Maintenance of professional etiquettes.

●  Timely intimation with genuine grounds to T&P, if unable to attend/participate.

●  Attend PPT (Pre Placement Talk), Interview and test.

●  Appear with a file, in hard copy, of all their academic records for recruitment process.

7.0 Duties, Responsibilities and notifications for students:

●  Attendance in PPT (Pre Placement Talk) shall be mandatory.

●  There shall be no personal communication to the students.

●  Students will have to register themselves prior to the scheduled internship/placement drive according to the information provided failing to which the same will be considered as one chance availed out of statutory 2.

●  Once a student registered for the particular internship/placement drive then the student will have to appear for that company failing to which student would be debarred from the future internship /placement process except for medical reasons which would only be considered after cross Verification by the respective HOD and Principal.

●  The student shall neither make direct contact or have a casual approach with the recruiter nor canvass the recruiting personnel.

●  All communication shall be channelized through Training &Placement Department of Digital Gurukul.

●  Students shall submit a soft copy of their CV to the T & P department before the start of Internship/Placement Drive

●  Students shall carry 2 hard copies of their CV in the prescribed format goven by Digital Gurukul CMC team along with 2 numbers of their passport size photographs while coming for Internship/placement drive otherwise he/she will not be allowed to sit for that particular Internship/placement drive. Failing to which shall be considered as one availed opportunity out of statutory 2.

●  After accepting a internship/job offer, if any student decides to withdraw his/her acceptance any time during the year, he/she must inform the department of Training and Placement Office immediately. An Internship/ job offer once accepted (even withdrawn at a later stage) will be considered as one offer out of statutory two.

●  As Internship/placement activities are fast paced, students can be asked to assemble at a short notice. If any student fails to turn up, it will be considered one opportunity missed by the student out of statutory 2.

●  A company’s selection process can take place in any city/town/state. The students may be required to travel & attend the same. The students may be provided with the necessary travel arrangements.

●  Students having opted out of the Internship/placement process shall need to submit an undertaking mentioning their decision of not participating in Internship/placement process at the start of their course.

8.0 Debarring of student from Internship/Placement Program:

Following acts / conditions shall lead the student to debar from Internship/placement process / program:

●  Disgracing behavior / un-professional / un-ethical conduct / misbehavior / violation of norms / in disciplinary activities / irresponsible behavior or negative remarks/comments which includes use of unacceptable language, demonstration of lack of respect and sensitivity.

●  In case the student, enrolled for Internship/placement services, fails to attend for 2 consecutive relevant Internship/placement drives(2 companies in a day would be considered as 2 Internship/placement drives), for any reason whatsoever except medical reason(duly verified by respective department), conducted by the Training & Placement Department, he/she shall be permanently disqualified/debarred from availing any further internship/ placement assistance.

●  If the student doesn’t turn for interview as per fixed schedule after registration.

●  In case the student remains unsuccessful in getting the offer for job even after availing 2 numbers of opportunities for interviews
